The New Fender Pro Juniors….

….are fantastic little amps. Dead quite with great tone..at a good price. Actually Fender have done a very effective overhaul of what was already a great amp – albeit a very noisy one. They’ve quietened it down considerably with better wiring and better retainers on the tubes. Great job. I’ve been using this little brute for 12 months or so – gigs, recording and practice with a lot of pedals in front of it most of the time and it’s been solid. I didn’t even have to put a set of JJ tubes in it as the stock Groove Tubes are of MUCH higher quality than they used to send these out with. They’re graded properly and they break up with the sweet spot around 4 1/2 – 5. As anyone who uses these will testify they’re loud so that’s a little too loud to achieve in a small room but in case of that I run a Fulltone Fat Boost to get the proper amount of saturation for good tone. And this amp has that in spades. I’m happy to say, “well done Fender” instead of something else for a change.

How Do You Hear About Music?

Well, how do you find out about music that you want hear? Do you visit Pitchfork regularly? Do you read a daily newspapers Arts and Entertainment section? Do you listen to online or standard broadcast radio? Is is mostly word of mouth? Social Media? I’m really interested in what sources folk use now to access and feed their music habit (or if indeed they still have one).
